We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and our source and norm for faith and practice. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he is both truly God and truly human who lived a sinless life as our substitute. By trusting in Jesus’ blood shed on the cross, his atoning death for sin, and through his bodily resurrection from the dead, God gives us peace, full forgiveness of sin, and the promise of eternal life. Even now, Christ, having ascended into heaven, is interceding for you and preparing a place you there.

As Lutherans, we practice two sacraments, Baptism for all ages and Holy Communion, as means through which God’s grace comes to us personally by God’s promise accompanied by visible means. We also embrace the three ‘hallmarks’ of the Reformation: By Grace Alone, By Faith Alone, By Scripture Alone.

We believe that “we cannot by our own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord, or come to him. But the Holy Spirit has called us through the Gospel, enlightened us with his gifts, sanctified and kept us in the true faith.” (Luther’s Explanation to the Third Article)

We also believe in the “holy catholic church”, that is, the one, Christian or ‘invisible’ church on earth which ultimately God sees and determines, where believers are united by personal trust in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, regardless of denomination or church affiliation.
